Sanitary Sight Glass: Types, Applications, and Selection Guide

Sanitary Sight Glass

What Is a Sanitary Sight Glass

A sanitary sight glass lets operators inspect product flow, color, and cleaning effectiveness without opening the line. Used in dairy, food processing, brewery, pharma, and biotech.

We make them in Wenzhou, China in sizes 1/2″ to 6″, tri-clamp, weld, or threaded. Body: SS304/SS316L. Glass: tempered borosilicate. Finish: Ra ≤ 0.8 μm.

Types We Manufacture

Tri-clamp sight glass — clamp connection, quick install. Most common. Sizes 1/2″ to 6″.

Inline sight glass — welded directly into pipeline. For high-pressure and high-purity.

Tube sight glass — for tube OD systems. Common in brewery and pharma skids.

Threaded sight glass — NPT/BSPT threads. For small lines and instrumentation.

Full view sight glass — 360-degree visibility for critical observation.

Glass and Seal Options

Standard: tempered borosilicate, thermal shock to 200°C. Optional: toughened glass, double-layer for vacuum, LED-illuminated for dark products.

Seals: EPDM (standard), Silicone (SIP), FPM (chemical), PTFE (high purity).

FAQ
